a lowly sinner's prayer
Listen to my words, O Lor, give heed to sighing and groaning. Hear the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You do I pray. O Lord, rebuke me not in Your anger nor discipline and chasten me in your hot displeasure. Have mercy on me and be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am weak (faint and withered awa;y); O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My inner self as well as my body is also exceedingly disturbed and troubled. But you, O Lord, how long (until your return and speak peace to me?) Return, O Lord, deliver my life. Save me for the sake of Your steadfast love and mercy. For I am weary with my groaning. All night I soak my pillow with tears. I drench my couch with my weeping. My eyes grows dim because of grief. It grows old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity(lying, stealing, sexual impurity) for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. I have acted wickedly and departed from your path. Lord, hear my supplication of prayer. Receive my prayer. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousnes. Renew my mind. Transform my spirit and will to your own. Have mercy O Lord. I now dedicate all of me: my mind, spirit and body: to you my God. This is my spiritual worship. Change me in all entirety with a new attitude and ideal. I am subject to You, My Lord. In the name of Jesus, I ask for purity and mental renewal. By the blood of Christ, I ask to be cleansed from my afflictions which are my iniquities. I worship in forgiveness and offer a sacrifice of praise. You alone are my Redeemer and Deliverer. In confidence I dwell in your safe arms and confidently trust You to answer me, a sinner.
